Kjartansson been catching and supplying the finest quality Cod and Haddock
First Captain for The Q Partnership (Friars Pride, Henry Colbeck and V A Whitley)
for over fifteen years. In 2013 Rammi commissioned a brand-new
state of the art fishing vessel to replace their two existing freezer
trawlers. Working closely with a talented team of marine architects
from Norway, a ship builder, based in Turkey and using the most modern technical
equipment from across Europe, they have designed and built a fantastic freezer
trawler named The Solberg.

The state-of-art technology is processing two types of Rammi Fillets. Rammi oCeanReserve®
and Rammi oCeanPremium®. The fish is processed and frozen on board within two hours of
catch, reducing production time by over an hour.

Utilising new water cutting technology, Rammi oCeanReserve® fillets are prepared by cutting
fillets from larger fish. In this process the loin is removed and the remaining chunky white

fish is cut into tightly graded, skinless and boneless fillet
portions. Tightly graded Rammi oCeanReserve® fillets are
available in; 4-6oz, 6-8oz, 8-10oz, 10-12oz, 12-16oz and
16-32oz.

This is an exciting evolution in Frozen at Sea fillet production
and offers customers the benefit of serving beautiful skinless
and boneless Cod fillets, perfectly portion controlled, with
the advantage of continuous supply.
